Varsity LD Judging
Like last year, no varsity LD round will be judged by a member of the Columbia Parliamentary Debate Team who lacks substantial LD experience. Also last year, all varsity LD judges should submit a paradigm by Monday, January 19th. All judges who fail to submit a paradigm will automatically be entered into the JV pool for the duration of the tournament.
Hired Judging
Our hired judging isn’t that cheap, but we’ve prided ourselves in delivering excellent professional judging in all divisions; our judges enjoy good housing, travel expenses to New York if needed, and more. We do not profit off our hired judges, but instead devote these resources to bringing in the best.

If You’re Looking to be Hired AND Paid…
In the past, we’ve had problems getting checks processed quickly by the administration. This year, once you’re hired you will be mailed a form to fill out before the tournament, so that it can be processed ASAP. If you’ve been hired and haven’t received this form within a week, make sure to let us know.
