Columbia Extemp Questions

Thank you to everyone who made the 8th Columbia Invitational a terrific time. Lots of people thank us, the tournament staff, when the tournament goes well, but our efforts are only one part of the equation. The efforts of the competitors and judges in traveling to the tournament, picking up ballots, walking all the way to Teacher’s College, and above all speaking, performing and debating are what make a tournament truly great. Congrats to all, and we hope to see you next year!

Follow the link to all IE and Congress room assignments.    The tournament ballot table and general hang out area will be in Lerner Auditorium.   Extemp draw will be held in the Lerner Cinema.

The flip means OI rounds 1 and 3 will be Poetry, while 2 and 4 will be Prose.

Speech Postings

The following judges are called for elimination rounds in IEs.  All judges are obligated to judge quarterfinals.  You must judge one round past when your students are still in competition; if you wish to be withdrawn from the pool and your obligation is ended, please inform Tab or the ballot table.

The Congress Super session will be judged by Dan Chaparian, Jack Soltysik and Eva Lam.

Posted here is a listing of judging assignments for Saturday in IEs and Congress. Judges with standby assignments should be in the judge’s lounge in the Lerner downstairs party space, or check in at the ballot table in front of the auditorium, at least 15 minutes before the start of their assigned standby rounds.
