Welcome to Columbia Debate, the Parliamentary Debate Society of Columbia University! From competing at parliamentary debate tournaments around the country to participating in paid public debates to doing volunteer work, the debate team represents the best of what Columbia student societies have to offer.
Mission
We believe debate is an extremely important skill that people can benifit from using, but we also recognize that it a means to some greater end. What is that greater end? We let our team members decide that for themselves, and then we structure the team to fit their needs.
We know, it sounds crazy and different from any other student group on campus. But we love doing it.
